Pure Hydration has announced the award of contract by the U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) for three of its integrated personal water purification products, the SmartCan, Smart Pump and Thirst Aid Station.
The award enables the supply of a flexibly tiered portfolio of robust critical response tools for rapid deployment in circumstances where normal drinking water supplies have been interrupted by natural and man-made disasters.
The systems contracted for supply are all based on Pure Hydration’s Mechanically Advanced Disinfection (M.A.D.®) technology platform, capable of producing clean safe drinking water from microbiologically and chemically contaminated sources.
M.A.D.® water purification technology has been proven in the field by humanitarian response organisations since 2014 with delivery to disaster victims in locations ranging from Ecuador, Haiti, the Philippines and Syria.
Pure Hydration is a market leading developer of advanced performance personal water purification systems for international defence, emergency humanitarian aid and travel health applications. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
